Today was the first day with fall in the air....

The sun is shining and it`s actually a nice temperature outside....but it smells like fall...
I love it!!

The horses are getting ready for winter too.....has started to shed the summer coat and getting the winter fur - fluffy and nice.
The dogs too are sheding - white and black hairs all over the house......but, I have always said...if I don`t get a meal with dog hairs in it it`s not good for me ;-)

Tor (my oldest brother) is here right now, helping Siri with her computer.....it`s almost a crisis when the computer does not work...
We talked about this at work the other day...how did we all survive before, back in the old days, when we did not have computers and portable phones?
I still remember when I was writing to the US on paper, putting it in an envelope and sending it ....and the news from Norway did not reach you before after 7-8 days!! And now......you can reac my messages as soon as I push "publish"!!

Guess the kids are (almost) right when they said we used to live in the old times...

Well, old or not.....the age is just a number and today I`ll enjoy the fall, my family, dogs, cats and horses....

Have a great day everyone!!

The 3 angels of this house!!

Here we go again!!
The last time i wrote I promised to try to get some pictures in here.....and now we`ll se if things work out the way I want them too!
I`m just not to patient with computers that does NOT do like I want them to...and of course, it`s the computers problem...not me that can`t enough ;-)
Well, here we go..
This is Silje celebrating the end of 3 years at Videregående (guess you should buy a dictionary...)
She is a Russ and on may 17 they really celebrate....or...they celebrate a few months before that to, but may 17 is the final day.

All the Russ gather outside their school to start a parade with their cars (they are all dressed in red or blue and the cars are painted in red or blue, this depends on the education they have been attending).
Silje and 5 other girls had a car they called LUDVIG....you`ll see him in the picture below.

LUDVIG!!

He knows alot more about these girls celebrating than we parents do!
Anyway.....I guess these girls are happy that Kåre know how to fix cars, because Ludvig did not always agree with this girls...and decided to just park himself.

But on 17. of may he was a nice guy and did as they told him...

Since the girls was celebrating they had to hire a deisgnated (not drunk) driver. And Siri was soo happy when she got to ride in the car through the whole parade.....it`s cool to have a sister that is a Russ!!
Stig Andreas is the only one in the family that actually are waiting for the winter! And why? Well, snowboard is the life!!

In the summer he is a fan of our trampoline...but this summer he has been working alot too....to go snowboarding you need money ;-)

Siri Elise is busy with friends after school......or playing with our dogs Cara and Jenny.

Sorry this was short....but getting these pictures where I wanted them did not work....so I`ll just end it now before I don`t have a computer anymore ;-)
I promise to be back soon......

Here we go - all in english, just for you!!

Here we go!

I have decided to write this blog in english, just for all our loved ones in the USA and Australia!
Maybe it will be easier for you to keep track of how our life here in Norway is treating us?

So, then I guess it`s time for a short update...

I finished 3 years of school this spring and I now have a degree as a Pre-School Teacher.
Such a degree gives me more opportunities when it comes to work...and after 9 year at the same place it was time for a change!!
So, 1st of August I started my new job.....I`m responsible for the "education" of 13 children at the age 1-4 years + there`s 2 women working "under" me.
It`s interesting and a challenge.....but, I have always liked to be challenged and I think I can make a difference - but it will take some time ;-)

Silje....our oldest baby...she`s turning 19 in september and moved to Oslo in the middle of August.
That sure was a challenge for me.....she`s actually grown up and living her own life!!
But as long as she`s happy - mom is happy.....I think....
Stig is turning 17 on sunday and is in his second year at "videregående".....
Not totally motivated for school this fall, but you get nowhere without some education...so he just have to finish!
He`ll be all done spring 2011...not long for us but forever when you`r 17!
Siri....our little angel.....is soon a teenager!!
12,5 years and busy, busy.......
She`s doing great in school and loves to be with friends...so, as long as she`s happy we`r happy!!
Kåre is his own boss...drives a truck wich you can lift stuff with (kranbil in norwegian) and seems to like this.
Sure would like a newer truck....maybe when we win the lottery....
Well....guess this was it for now.....
I`ll try to figure out how to get pictures in between the lines here, guess you`ll like to see pictures too?
Have a wonderful day!!

Ny jobb - nye utfordringer...

So, here we go.....all in english!!
